Our concept

The restaurant Aux Trois Maries is one of the oldest bouchons in Lyon, founded in the mid-20th century, when poets like Éluard and Aragon would meet at Place de la Baleine for lunch.

Formerly called “Le Café des Primeurs,” in reference to the market on the Quai de Saône, the restaurant was taken over after the war by the famous Tante Paulette, and later by the Bolomier, Monnet, and Fournier families, who gave it its renown.

The establishment takes its name from Rue des Trois Maries, named in the 17th century in honor of the three saints of the Gospel: Mary Salome, Mary Jacobé, and Mary Magdalene.

Continuing the tradition and respecting the work of our predecessors, we offer local cuisine crafted from a careful selection of quality products and regional specialties, all served in a “Bistrot Lyonnais” style—modern yet equally convivial!
